I know the Raider is a budget optic and the lerna cost almost as much as the optic but I paired the 2 and the combo is just awesome! Lerna fits like a glove on both the rifle and optic. Allows me to run back irons without the need to flip up. Seriously considering this setup for multiple rifles.
I didn’t know if this was a gimmick or a legitimate study in shooting mechanics. It turns out this is a much more natural posture to shoot while moving. It took a mag or two to acclimate but I now recommend everyone at least try it before they knock it. I’ll get the magnification riser for certain. I’d have given it 5 across the board but the price is almost prohibitively expensive for anyone not able to expense this to an agency or department. It’s worth it though.
I’ve had this mount for a month now, I have in a safe manner LARP’ed around the house, and have taken it to the range once as of 10/30/24. A top-notch riser with the perfect balance between strength, durability, and versatility. Feels and looks like it can endure significant stress without deforming or breaking. Coating feels and looks like it will stand up to oxidation, rust, and wear, even in tough environmental conditions. EOTech fits perfectly.
