I was very pleased with this purchase and the quality of the mount. I went with the “aimpoint” mount which also allows a clear view with backup irons. I have zero complaints and would buy again. I’m very picky when it comes to my patrol rifle and what I put on it. So far I’ve had zero issues. Only complaint…mounting the sight was difficult only because I did not have the correct tools.
Just received my Lerna Eotech mount and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed! Very fast processing and shipping. GBRS sends emails at each stage of the process; from confirmation of the order to when it has shipped as well as when it is out for delivery. Top notch in my book. Now to the meat and potatoes of this review..
It arrives packed very well and the packaging is very nice. Once you remove the Lerna mount you immediately feel the quality. Beautiful machine work and the FDE coating was immaculate. I secured the mount to my 10.5' .300 SBR. It is a really nice touch that right next to the mounting screws there is a laser engraving stating "45 in lbs" of torque, f@#$ing class man! How many times have you stripped mounting screws because you couldn't remember the torque spec?!? These dudes thought of everything! Once you mount the Eotech onto the Lerna mount you realize how high it sits off the rifle and you may for second think "that's too high" but slow down turbo! As soon as you shoulder the rifle you understand immediately, I have never had a more comfortable head and body position getting a good sight picture! No joke this is an absolute game changer! You will never and I mean never want to mount an Eotech in any other fashion again! Kudos to the GBRS crew, this is a bang up system. Now if I only had a set of NODS so I could get the Hydra mount I would be in tactical heaven! Keep up the good work, awesome to see fellow vets kicking as much a$$ in the civ world!
