I’ve been a bit of a “kit bandit” for 20yrs in Special Operations and still one on the outside in the training space and on low scale operations like counter poacher gigs in Africa. There are similar concepts out there but GBRS have executed this extremely well. Great modularity, flexibility and particularly good at drying quickly for maritime operations. A refined and great bit of gear, must have.

The modular chest rig arrives in a sealed waterproof bag. Within the bag is everything pictured in the photo breakdown of internal components. The extensive assortment of I and W joints that make configuring easy. The entire process of assembly from start to finish is less than 20 minutes. I was able to use old Military ammunition with ease. With the leftover eye and W joints, I have opted to utilize both HVY and LTE chest rig set ups so that I could optimize for different weapon systems.
Once I built my modular chest rig I went to the range and found it extremely functional and well-made. It does not feel cumbersome, nor does it hang loose from your body. Once you assemble your modular chest rig, you will not find it to have any weak points or vulnerabilities in terms of either all out sprinting or even rolling around if necessary. I played very rough with it for several hours, and I had no issues with any of the support clasps failing to function.
I made sure to assemble mine where it is comfortable in plain clothes and has enough slack to comfortably fit over body armor if necessary.
Excellent craftsmanship at a great value. I am a repeat customer and I am not affiliated with the GBRS group. This is my genuine impression.
Another quality piece of gear from the G-Team! I will use this kit for mainly outdoor activities/hunting with all the modularity possibilities. Design, premium components, excellent water shedding properties and Berry Compliant…..that’s a win win!

“I recently purchased the GBRS MCR and I have to say, I’m impressed. The modular design is incredibly versatile and allows me to configure the rig based on my load. The rig is also extremely lightweight and made from durable materials, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I’ve used it on several outdoor excursions and it has held up well. Overall, I would highly recommend the GBRS MCR to anyone.
This rig system has no competition. It really is the end of the search for a perfect setup. The modularity the quality and the price so dialed in I could not be more pleased.
