A higher optic allows for a more athletic “Heads-up” posture that enables you to maintain a vertical spine which translates to body armor or “presenting plates” to the threat. This “Heads-up” style allows for faster processing speed and increased situational awareness.
The first dual optic mount to offer a 2.91” optic centerline for faster target ID, regardless of gear/ equipment obstructions, such as EarPro/Comms headsets, gas masks/ CBRN, and night vision goggles.
Perfect for the super short PDW/SMG platforms where rail space is limited, but mounting a light and aiming device is still critical. The pass-through on the neck allows for cable management or iron sight passthrough.
The unique and patented design offers an elevated MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny platform) for directly attaching accessories; such as lights, optics, thermals, and aiming devices.
(A) Allen wrench pass through holes for easier optic mounting.
(B) Shorter back base allows for FTC magnifiers to be closer to the red dot optic.
(C) Screws and clamp are custom heated treated, black nitrided stainless steel.
(D) Wider cable management hole.
(E) Strengthened neck to allow for wider cable management.
(F) Holes for direct mount laser screws.
(G) Anodized coating.
Received my Hydra v2 optic/lazer mount from GBRS and couldn't be happier with the quality of design and manufacture of this optics mount! Not to mention it looks and functions awesome on my LWRC M6A2 10.5 with a EXPS3 Eotech and will be complete when the Eotech OGL's become available! So get a Hydra v2 for the weapon system your working on and you'll see why the head up aiming position is so much better. Cheers boys
Great product and works well as intended. However it is not something I would recommend for all rifle setups. For those using gas masks or NVGs a lot, it is ideal.
This mount has been great. I have had issues with bringing my head down into my rifle to get a sight picture. After training with this mount for a day, that issue is gone. Also, being able to move my NGAL back has improved the weight balance. Resulting in a quicker target transition. If you're reading this BUY IT!!!
